New Corps Staff
The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets continued to add new faces to the staff.
Kelley Corvin
Kelley Corvin joined the Corps staff this April as the chief advancement officer for the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets. In this role, she leads the Corps’ advancement team in engaging alumni, family, and friends of the Corps to support cadets with scholarship and experiential learning opportunities while increasing operational funding for the Corps.
A Blacksburg native, Corvin is a proud Hokie who graduated from Virginia Tech in 2012 with a degree in apparel, housing and resource management from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
She returned to Virginia Tech in 2016 to begin her fundraising career as a development associate with Student Affairs and later became the assistant director of leadership gifts for Student Affairs. In 2022, she became the associate director of major gifts for the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.
Corvin earned a master's degree in executive leadership from Liberty University in 2016. An avid football fan, she enjoys time outdoors and is certified in two disciplines of dance fitness.
Taylor Cupp
Taylor Cupp joined the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets staff this May as the assistant recruiter. Taylor is responsible for developing and implementing Corps recruitment programs to attract diverse and highly talented cadets to Virginia Tech. She works closely with the ROTC departments, Undergraduate Admissions, members of the cadet regiment, and the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Alumni Board. Taylor has worked at Virginia Tech for over 14 years and was previously employed with Continuing and Professional Education, the School of Architecture, and the College of Engineering. Taylor graduated from Virginia Tech in 2009 and lives in Blacksburg, Virginia with her husband and son.
Corps intern
Carter Griffin ’24
Carter Griffin was the alumni advancement associate for the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets during the spring semester. He was tasked with coordinating events for the advancement team and assisted the scholarship manager with tasks related to scholarship awarding. A criminology and sociology major, Carter served as the regimental alumni liaison and graduated from the Corps of Cadets in May. He commissioned into the U.S. Army as a field artillery officer and following training, Carter will serve with the 82nd Airborne.
