Academic Resources

The corps and university have many academic resources to ensure your success.

Corps Academic Staff

  • Your first and most readily accessible stop is your company academics officer/NCOIC.
  • The regimental and battalion S-5s also can help connect you with resources needed for success.

Rice Center Staff

  • Office hours will be posted each semester.
  • Emails will be responded to within two class days.

VTCC Embedded Counselor

  • This member of Cook Counseling works on Upper Quad with cadets, offering both individual appointments and drop-in hours.
  • Confidential

RWB Embedded Counselors

  • Embedded counselors are members of Cook Counseling who work with on-campus students, M-Th 2-10 p.m., Friday 12-4 p.m.

Timely Care Individual Counseling

  • You can schedule up to 12 individual online counseling sessions with a counselor who meets your needs.

Cook Individual & Group Therapy

  • Counselors can work with you on common issues among college students, such as life transitions, family issues, career concerns, or stress management, and/or can develop individual treatment plans for mental health concerns.

Cook Psychiatry

  • These are physicians who work with medication management for diagnosed psychiatric conditions.

Women’s Center Embedded Advocate

  • Cadets can speak to an advocate who offers office hours on Upper Quad or seek services at the Women’s Center on Washington Street.

Health Coaching via Timely Care

  • Your opportunity to work with a coach, who is a trained health educator, to achieve health & well-being personal needs or goals.

Support Groups at Community Centers

  • Support groups are opportunities to discuss concerns and get support from peers like you. These support groups are supported by clinical staff.
