Highty-Tighty Alumni Reunion
Come home for the 2026 Highty-Tighty Reunion!
The Highty-Tighty Reunion will be held on Oct. 16-17, the same weekend as Virginia Tech's Homecoming. The Highty-Tighty alumni band is the heartbeat of Virginia Tech Homecoming. For more than four decades, our alumni have marched in the parade and performed at the football pre-game show with current Highty-Tighties.
It doesn't matter if your musical skills have diminished, or if you can no longer play your instrument. All Highty-Tighty alumni are invited to join us.
Need to borrow an instrument? You can indicate that on your registration form.
Participation in the parade and pre-game performance requires proper attire: khaki pants/skirt (no shorts please), white shirt (with Virginia Tech tie for men), official Highty-Tighty sweater or the new pullover, and Highty-Tighty hat.
- Hats are $10 and can be purchased through the registration process.
Our reunion is a great time for all who have been a part of the regimental band to come together, to march again as a unit, and to continue to share the common experience of the Highty-Tighties. Registration ends on Oct. 3, so don't wait!
Lodging
- A limited block of rooms is reserved for the HT Reunion this year at The Inn at Virginia Tech. Contact the Corps Alumni Office for information about the room block.
Football Tickets
- We have a block of tickets near the Corps of Cadets and Highty-Tighties for the Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech football game.

Schedule of Events
Virginia Tech Homecoming Parade 6 - 8 p.m.
- Route will go through downtown Blacksburg. All HTs marching in the parade will meet at the staging area in the proper uniform.
GunnyFest 8 p.m.
- GunnyFest will kickoff at approximately 8 p.m., after the Homecoming parade. Meet at the Corps Leadership and Military Science Building (CLMS) atrium.
Combined Band Practice
- Time TBD, depending on announced kick-off for Georgia Tech game
Football vs Georgia Tech
- Kick-off time not yet announced. Check back for updates. Forty-five minutes before kick-off: Form-up for the current Highty-Tighty Band and Highty-Tighty alumni band pre-game performance outside the southwest tunnel of Lane Stadium
Football in the Atrium
- There will be a watch party for those who don’t want to go to or remain at Lane Stadium for the game.
Highty-Tighty Annual Alumni/Cadet Meal
- Time TBD depending on Georgia Tech game kick-off. The Highty-Tighty Annual Alumni and Highty-Tighty Cadet Meal will be held at Turner Place at Lavery Hall this year. The cost of the meal is $30, and that includes a $5 gift to the Commandant’s Priorities Fund. We have provided an opportunity at checkout to make a gift to the Highty-Tighty Annual Fund for those who wish to contribute.
