New Corps Staff
The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets continued to add new faces to the staff.
Trish Hamilton
Trish Hamilton joined the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets advancement team in February as an advancement associate supporting fundraising, alumni engagement, and advancement operations. She previously served as the assistant director of donor relations at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. Prior to her career in higher education, Trish built a diverse professional background in office management and network engineering.
Trish is a graduate of Roanoke College and has been active in volunteer service, supporting community and environmental causes. She resides in Christiansburg, Virginia, with her husband Joe, and they have two children—son Landon and daughter Elizabeth, a current student at Virginia Tech. In her free time, Trish enjoys traveling and landscaping.
2nd Lt. Julia Plantier
2nd Lt. Julia Plantier ’25 joined the Corps staff in January while awaiting her start date for the U.S. Space Force's Officer Training Course. She graduated with a degree in national security and foreign affairs and was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force Reserve in December. During her senior year in the Corps, she served as the 1st Battalion executive officer and later as a squadron commander within Air Force ROTC. While on the commandant’s staff, Julia assisted with scholarship awarding and supported recruiting and alumni events. In July, Julia will move to Colorado Springs to begin training with the U.S. Space Force.
