The speakers were two Corps' alumni, Homer Hickam '64 and Jason Oberoi '10.

Few names capture a cadet’s attention and inspiration like that of Homer Hickam. A 1964 graduate of the Corps of Cadets, Mr. Hickam is a Vietnam veteran, a best-selling author, a retired NASA engineer, and part of the trio of cadets who created the first Skipper, the famed Corps of Cadets’ cannon.

Deputy Commandant for the Citizen-Leader Track Jason Oberoi, a 2010 graduate of the Corps, understands the cadet experience. His door is always open to cadets seeking advice or just a friendly face. An Army veteran, Mr. Oberoi will also “graduate” from the Corps’ staff this spring to pursue a nursing career.
