This is the best tool we have for recruiting outstanding cadets, and it's made possible by gifts from Corps alumni and friends, including parents of cadets. These scholarships provide financial support for cadets enrolled in every college in the university. Your help will enable us to offer more incoming cadets an Emerging Leader Scholarship (ELS) and increase the scholarship amount to more adequately meet ever-growing needs.

We currently are able to offer an ELS to the majority of incoming freshmen. More than 750 of our cadets receive these scholarships, which provide $8,000 over four years for in-state cadets and $12,000 for out-of-state cadets.

You may fund an ELS in your name, in combination with your spouse and/or other family members, or make a memorial or honorary gift for a person of your choosing.  The minimum amount to name an ELS is $100,000 paid over up to five years or supported with a trust, annuity, or other estate gift that meets the minimum foundation requirements at the time the gift is received at Virginia Tech.
